Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh has been recognised and awarded the TUI Award for being among the 100 environment-friendly hotels in the World for two years in a row.

The resort itself is only built on 18% of its usable property and has maintained a natural and environmentally friendly setting throughout. The resort installed a ground pump that collects ground water that is reused for watering the hotel gardens. To further help in reducing water usage at the resort, water-saving devices are installed in showers. As for the electricity, the hotel is using energy saving devices that automatically turns off all electrical appliances within 10 minutes of a guest leaving his or her room.
